the gargoyle is university college’s bi-weekly student paper.

the gargoyle is not “newspaper” and we do not publish the “news.” we focus squarely on sharing our community members’ perspectives, writing, and art, all often overlooked by mainstream publications and forums. at the moment, we have six different sections: politics, uc (campus affairs), arts & culture, opinions, avant-garg (poetry & prose), and comics.

the gargoyle has complete editorial autonomy, only limited by our imagination and our readership’s stomach.

we are funded by a university college student levy of $1.50, which has not increased since 1990. we do not run ads.
